May 18: Family Program, 2-4 pm
Stop by anytime between 2 and 4 pm to view the traveling exhibit “Howdy! from big wonderful WYOMING” and make a postcard of your own!

June 14: Journeys through Wyoming’s Past:
A Summer Reading Series Kick-Off Event, 10 am -4 pm
Join Wyoming authors Ken Thomasma and Eugene Gagliano as they share their love of Wyoming history. Thomasma will read portions of Naya Nuki and Gagliano as he reads C is for Cowboy, A Wyoming Alphabet and Four Wheels West, A Wyoming Number Book. More details coming soon!

A Summer Reading Series
The Explorers and Pioneer Book Clubs are a great way for youth of all ages to learn more about Wyoming history and culture by using their reading skills and participating in fun and educational hands-on activities.
Explorers Book Club
The Explorers Book Club will take place every Tuesday from 2-3 pm in the Multi-Use Room from June 17 to July 29. Explorers will learn about Wyoming’s past through picture books and hands-on activities at each book club. Recommended for ages 5 - 8.

June 24 : Papa and the Pioneer Quilt by Jean Van Leeuwen
July 1 : The Star People: A Lakota Story by S.D. Nelson
July 8 : When Esther Morris Headed West: Women, Wyoming and
the Right to Vote by Connie Nordhielm Wooldridge
July 15 : Grandfather Buffalo by Jim Arnosky
July 22 : Yippee-Yay! A Book about Cowboys and Cowgirls by

July 29 : The Great Race of the Birds and Animals by Paul Goble
Pioneers Book Club
The Pioneer Book Club will take place every other Thursday from 2-3
pm in the Multi-Use Room from June 19 to July 31. Pioneers will learn
about Wyoming’s past through chapter books and hands-on and craft
activities. Pioneers should read the book prior to the club meeting.
Recommended for ages 9 and up.

Guided Tours
Interested in a more in-depth look at the site’s trail and military history? Take a guided tour of the fort grounds with one of our interpreters. This program is available for groups of 10 or more and is dependent on the availability of tour guides. Please call two weeks in advance to request a tour.
